Syllog is an Italian innovative start-up, with offices in Prato and Turin, that has developed an autonomous learning platform that, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence, makes it possible to create training paths for growth and development within companies, making the employee training experience engaging and personalised.
The young company, supported by the business incubator I3P since 2023, recently successfully closed a €500,000 pre-seed funding round, led by 40Jemz Ventures and TechAround, with the participation of major players in the field of artificial intelligence, including Mival Capital, and several entrepreneurs from Italy and USA.
The new financing will allow Syllog to increase its in-house team and enrich its customer and industry offering, starting to lay the foundation for an expansion in Europe planned for 2026.
Syllog's project
The young company's mission is to put people back at the centre of the corporate training experience, enhancing the human capital of companies: AI is in fact used to perform low added-value tasks, automating most of the steps in the learning and development process.
Syllog's innovative platform not only drastically reduces the time and cost of corporate training, improving the efficiency of processes such as onboarding, continuous training and new product training, but also increases employee engagement during training periods.
The aim of the project is to minimise inefficiencies in the corporate Learning and Development process, thus freeing departmental managers from performing repetitive and low-value-added actions. Thanks to Syllog, managers can turn long, complex documents into interactive training courses with a few simple clicks, automate their sharing, and receive detailed learning progress reports. Employees, on the other hand, can receive engaging and quality training, as well as continuous support in the daily performance of their work.
The start-up's first steps
"The idea was born out of a disappointment: we experienced first-hand an inefficient, impersonal and uninspiring on-the-job training," said Edoardo Anselmi, Co-Founder & CEO of Syllog. "Deepening our research on the topic, we realised that our experience could be traced back to a systemic inefficiency of the corporate training world, perceived not only by workers but also by companies themselves. Hence the idea of applying our knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence to bring an innovative solution to market, so as to generate change that would improve both business performance and the employee experience."
"From the public release of generative artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT, we immediately realised that their impact would be enormous, especially in business contexts where information plays a crucial role," added Davide Ludovico, Co-Founder of Syllog. "We are very happy with both the trust we have received from investors and the reaction that leading national companies, such as Telepass, and international companies, in sectors ranging from services to finance to manufacturing and fashion, are having towards our solution."
