EpiCura is the first digital outpatient clinic in Italy that allows easy and timely booking of medical and social care visits at the patient's preferred location and time.
In June 2019, it successfully closed its second capital increase to EUR 1 million against requests for 1,061,616, thus going well beyond the initial target of 800,000.
The operation, led by major business angel groups and investment funds such as Club degli Investitori, LVenture Group, Club Acceleratori and Boost Heroes, closed on Mamacrowd, Italy's leading equity crowdfunding platform. The campaign reached and surpassed its initial target well in advance, thanks to the interest found in the market.
Gianluca Manitto - CEO and co-founder of EpiCura - says: "It is a great satisfaction and we are proud of this new investment round. Less than two years after its foundation, we have provided about 10 thousand interventions and worked with more than 700 professionals in the main Italian cities. We have an average waiting time of less than 24 hours and aim to reduce it even further. In June we will also officially start distributing our solution in pharmacies, outpatient clinics and hotel chains to allow patients to book services at strategic points in the area."
Incubated at I3P - Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino, EpiCura allows patients to have at their disposal a team of professionals active 7 days a week, throughout the city and metropolitan area. Doctors, paediatricians, physiotherapists, nurses, home care assistants and veterinarians at home: a true digital outpatient clinic, a combination of digital innovation typical of a simple, efficient and scalable service and proximity to the user, characteristic of more traditional realities.
