The equity crowdfunding campaign launched in support of the Zeroundici project on the CrowdFundMe platform closes with the maximum target: 160 new members and €250,000 in investments raised.

The equity crowdfunding campaign launched in support of the Zeroundici project on the CrowdFundMe platform has reached its maximum target: 160 new members have signed up and a total of €250,000 has been raised, the maximum amount of investment sought. "'It's a great success," said Mattia Bertone, an engineer with a degree from Politecnico di Torino and the project's creator. "We are very pleased; the users have understood the quality of our product and the project for a new form of future mobility."

Investors and shares

There are 160 new Zeroundici members, who thanks to the equity crowdfunding campaign, which closed on 26 July, have been able to invest in the light and innovative e-bikes born in the city of Turin. They have invested stakes ranging from 250 to 20,000 euros and their participation will be proportional to the investment made. They are private individuals and companies, citizens who believe in a new mobility, buyers of Zeroundici electric bikes who appreciated the quality of the product and wanted to help the company, but also investors who follow financial and sector trends. With Zeroundici, they see an opportunity for profit in a project that has been recognised from the outset as being of excellence even by I3P, the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino. "The campaign was a great success not only from a financial point of view, but for the visibility and contacts it generated in both B2B and B2C spheres. Our enthusiasm has further increased and we now have a very challenging period of growth management ahead of us, which we are looking forward to", Mattia Bertone concluded.

The project: the smart, comfortable but also beautiful bicycle

The Zeroundici project comes from an idea of Mattia Bertone - a graduate of Politecnico di Torino in 'Industrial Production and Technological Innovation Engineering'. The aim is to create a bicycle that can be a real alternative to motorised transport: fast, comfortable, light and aesthetically pleasing. Mattia Bertone's project is part of I3P, the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino, which supported the start-up both in the fund-raising and product development phases. The support of Torino Social Innovation and Regione Piemonte was fundamental. The first Zeroundici bicycle was launched in 2016.

The Zeroundici e-bike

Zeroundici, whose name is a tribute to Turin, for which 011 is the area code, is the made-in-Italy novelty of pedal-assisted cycling. Zeroundici e-bikes are able to give a new feeling of freedom, a new lifestyle and pleasure in every move. Production takes place at the Zeroundici workshops in Turin, under the continuous supervision of a team of experts who guarantee the highest quality and widest customisation possibilities.

The special features of Zeroundici bicycles are:

  1. aesthetics: the battery is completely integrated into the frame, offering the sleek aesthetics of a traditional bicycle, combined with an electric motor of the highest quality and reliability;
  2. the lightness: the weight ranges from 15 kg to 19 kg, making the bicycles highly performing even without pedalling assistance and easy to lift;
  3. customisation (custom-made product): Zeroundici offers the possibility of modifying the electric bicycle to the user's liking through a wide range of customisations and unique features, also through the online configurator.
