The Pitch Day of the RAISE up Mentorship Program, the final event of the first edition of the initiative, will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 2:30 to 7 p.m. at the Auditorium Hall of the Genoa Aquarium, Italy.
This appointment marks the final stage of a journey of growth and enhancement for teams of innovators in the RAISE ecosystem - an acronym for Robotics and AI for Socio-economic Empowerment - who have developed innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence and robotics, with the goal of transferring them to the market for the benefit of the economic and social system.
What is RAISE up?
RAISE up is a mentorship program aimed at teams wishing to enhance the results of their research. Promoted by RAISE's Spoke 5 with the support of PwC Italia and I3P - Incubator of Politecnico di Torino, the program promotes the development of entrepreneurial ideas, helping researchers combine curiosity-driven and market-driven approaches.
Through mentoring sessions - both online and in-person - and networking activities, the program launched in September 2024 offered:
- Tech Lifting: analysis and evaluation of the technology solution, with a focus on competitive advantage over alternative technologies;
- Strategic Acceleration: support in strategic positioning, business model definition and business plan creation;
- Specialist Boost: insights into specific issues such as IP management and financing strategies;
- Pitch Preparation: coaching in preparing an effective presentation to attract industrial and financial partners.
The program also aims to create a bridge between research and market, fostering business innovation and sustainable development of the Ligurian business fabric. Through this initiative, participating teams were able to acquire skills to enhance their innovative solutions, understand the market potential of their technologies, build sustainable business models, and prepare to interact with strategic partners and funders.
The RAISE up community includes not only teams of innovators, but also an ecosystem of investors, entrepreneurs and stakeholders interested in exploring AI and robotics-based solutions, with direct access to insights on emerging technology trends.
The Pitch Day
The January 29 event represents the culmination of six months of work by the teams, who have been refining their innovative solutions with the support of mentors and specialists. The Pitch Day will offer participants the opportunity to present their projects to an audience of companies, investors and stakeholders, with the goal of initiating strategic collaborations.
