The "Memorandum of Understanding for the Innovation and Digitalisation of Businesses in the Province of Cuneo", promoted by Fondazione CRC and the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce, was signed by all the local business associations, represented in the new body called Consulta delle Associazioni datoriali, set up at the Chamber of Commerce.

The protocol aims to involve business representatives from the various economic sectors in the province to form a cohesive, innovative and digitised ecosystem

The aim of the protocol is to increase the effectiveness of initiatives aimed at encouraging business start-ups and Open Innovation paths, starting with the GrandUP! Tech project, promoted by Fondazione CRC in collaboration with I3P, the innovative business incubator of Politecnico di Torino, and the experience gained by the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce's Punto Impresa Digitale, part of the national I4.0 network envisaged by the Transition 4.0 Plan.

The Italian province of Cuneo, an area with a high rate of entrepreneurship, ranks among the top 10 Italian provinces in terms of the ratio of innovative start-ups to new companies. Over the years, activities aimed at raising awareness and supporting entrepreneurs and professionals in the province to foster digital transition and innovation have multiplied.

The adoption of the protocol intends to consolidate this path, pooling the initiatives of individual actors, favouring the highest level of coordination and sharing of projects and communication methods, maximising the effectiveness of each action in favour of the competitiveness of the local business fabric

The governance of the project envisages the establishment of an operational coordination table whose members include the Chamber of Commerce, Fondazione CRC and I3P, as well as Confindustria, Confartigianato, Coldiretti, Confcommercio and Legacoop Ufficio Territoriale di Cuneo. The purpose of the coordination table is to concretely implement the lines of the agreement, in line with the strategic objectives established by the signatory parties.

"In an economic context that is changing extremely rapidly and requires companies to pursue ever higher levels of competitiveness in the markets, innovation and the digitalisation of organisations, processes and business lines are now unavoidable. On the strength of this vision, the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce has promoted the creation of a network with the Fondazione CRC, open to companies in the various sectors, with the aim of avoiding the multiplication of uncoordinated inter- vents, with inevitable waste of resources and the risk of reducing the desired effectiveness," commented Mauro Gola, President of the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce.

"Fondazione CRC has long been committed to promoting initiatives that aim to support and stimulate the birth and growth of innovative entrepreneurial activities in our territory. By signing this protocol, promoted together with the Chamber of Commerce, we want to take a further step in this direction, making available to the various stakeholders the good practices that have already been experimented and encouraging provincial coordination on these issues," continued Ezio Raviola, Chairman of Fondazione CRC.

Several events are going to be held soon, including an initial meeting on the world of start-ups and their role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, starting with the tourism sector, a training meeting on calls for tenders and funding, a four-workshop itinerary on Open Innovation processes, and an event presenting GrandUP! Tech Academy, a training circuit activated by Fondazione CRC with I3P and dedicated to aspiring entrepreneurs in the province of Cuneo. Each event will be accompanied by the sharing of experiences and activities already implemented by local enterprises.
