I3P, the innovative business incubator of Politecnico di Torino, and Confindustria Cuneo have signed a collaboration framework agreement, which takes on greater importance considering the difficult times we are living following the epidemic.
The official deed was signed by Giuseppe Scellato, President of I3P, and Giuliana Cirio, General Director of Confindustria Cuneo.
This initiative allows for a stronger interaction between two realities that have been working together for some time, aimed at growing the excellence of an area that has always demonstrated an extraordinary entrepreneurial capacity, often associated with innovative projects.
Times are changing at an unprecedented speed, and the agreement allows start-ups the knowledge and skills of those who for years have been demonstrating an interest in the role of intermediary between universities and businesses, and a concrete ability to help projects with solid prospects take root and grow.
"We are very pleased with the agreement signed, which aims to support the development of innovative entrepreneurial projects in the area. Our goal is that the innovative ideas underlying the start-ups incubated at I3P can be transformed into solid business models with an impact on the relevant technological sectors. For this reason, it is essential to activate open innovation initiatives involving start-ups, companies and research centers”, stated Prof. Giuseppe Scellato.
“Our due attention to innovative companies does not start today”, said Mauro Gola and Giuliana Cirio, President and Director of Confindustria Cuneo. "For example, in 2018 we set up the two-year course that provided around 15 start-ups with a network of qualified professionals for the most effective approach to the business world. More and more innovative companies are operating with technologies whose aim is to improve our lives, often revolutionising them. Recognising the most promising ones, closely following their development and helping them to project themselves towards success is the objective of our association, which, today more than ever, wants to look to the emerging talents from the province of Cuneo. The agreement with I3P offers opportunities that we believe are very useful to young people entering the workforce and to people with experience who have already developed skills and wish to reinvent themselves by promoting a new activity”.
There are currently 30 start-ups participating in the programme launched by Confindustria Cuneo, about one third of those in the province registered in the Chamber's business registry.
