Easyrain, the Italian tech company at the forefront of predictive and active solutions for the automotive industry, is pleased to announce the completion of a new equity round aimed at driving further growth, advancing its technology roadmap, and launching on the market its innovative automotive safety solutions tailored to carmakers' needs.
The new €2.5 million round underscores investors' confidence in Easyrain’s strategic vision. The round was led by Indaco Venture Partners SGR, one of Italy's leading independent venture capital firms, which has supported Easyrain since 2018 and shares its mission to reduce road accidents and save lives. This fundraising marks the initial step of a larger capital increase that the company plans to finalize by the end of 2025, after the previous operations of €5 million in 2021 and €5.8 million in 2023.
Indaco Venture Partners SGR participated through its flagship fund, Indaco Ventures I, and the newly established Indaco Ventures I – Parallel Lombardia Fund. The latter, supported by Regione Lombardia’s Lombardia Venture initiative and financed with European PR Lombardia FESR 21-27 funds, is managed by Finlombarda and focuses on supporting high-potential innovative companies based in Lombardia. Private investors also joined the round.
The evolution of the company
This achievement marks an extraordinary milestone for Easyrain, a former startup grown in I3P, which in 2024 secured a major commercial success: attaining Tier 1 supplier status by signing a contract with a leading car manufacturer to supply its DAI (Digital Advanced Information) virtual anti-aquaplaning sensor. The first vehicle equipped with this groundbreaking software system, capable of detecting both partial and complete aquaplaning, will be introduced to the market in 2025.
Beyond commercial achievements, 2024 was a landmark year for Easyrain's technological advancements. Highlights include:
- expanding the Digital Advanced Information virtual sensor platform with new software capable of detecting tyre pressure loss, tread wear, and suspension asymmetry;
- launching the next-generation Aquaplaning Intelligent Solution (AIS), designed to be lighter and more industrialisation-ready;
- developing revolutionary solutions to counter snow and ice-related grip loss and enhance the performance of ADAS and autonomous driving systems.
Looking ahead, Easyrain is preparing for 2025 with plans to grow its team by 30% compared to 2024, focusing on key market-driven projects. Easyrain continues its commitment to innovation and safety, solidifying its position as a leader in automotive technology.
