Orbital Outpost Italy develops space rated water electrolyzers (ELZ) to provided pressurized H2 & O2 gases for rocket fuel, to power fuel cells, and for life support. Amount of storage depends on size of gas storage tanks & gas pressure. The start-up also develops regenerable fuel cells (RFCs) for energy storage, typically from solar PV.
Orbital Outpost Italy uses base technology licensed from a US partner developed since 2016 from US DOE, NASA, and NSF grants, while developing space rated products that can be customized for business partners requirements.
