The Enercom Group has launched a call4startup in the Smart Home and Smart City field with the aim of identifying innovative projects and companies able to improve public lighting and gas distribution services, or propose Internet of Things solutions for greater energy efficiency and consumption control.
The winner of the 2019 edition was Midori, an innovative SME founded in 2011, hosted within the I3P Incubator of Politecnico di Torino and since 2018 based at the Energy Center of Politecnico di Torino. Midori creates and sells advanced energy analysis and smart metering services to provide accurate and detailed energy data. The team of technicians and experts invented NED, the only device on the market that can carry out a complete monitoring of the home's electrical consumption by connecting simultaneously with all appliances, with no need to install numerous, expensive and invasive measuring instruments.
NED connects easily to the home's electrical panel and, through a single smartphone app, allows access to a whole range of services, to discover the real use of energy and learn how to save up to 20% on the bill every year.
With its victory at innnovation2live, Midori now has the opportunity to quickly transfer its Smart Home solution to the market, thanks to the support of the Enercom Group, which will facilitate the process, identifying the most functional technological solutions for the line of business and capable of generating concrete advantages for the different types of users of the services provided, both in the business-to-consumer and business-to-business spheres.
"The recognition by the Enercom Group is for us a demonstration of how our solution can contribute to creating greater awareness regarding the daily use of energy, to understand what actions to take to reduce emissions and waste, as well as the price of bills", explains Christian Camarda, CEO of Midori.
