The Lifebility Award, the competition promoted by the Lions Club Italy, is back for its 2025 edition, giving young innovators the chance to present innovative and sustainable ideas to improve community services.

Now in its 15th edition, the initiative rewards projects that focus on social impact, sustainability, and digitalization. The award is organized by the Lifebility Association, a non-profit organization mainly composed of Lions Club members. Established in 2009 in Milan, the competition has expanded nationwide to raise awareness among young people about social issues and ethical innovation, encouraging solutions that enhance urban life.

"Over the years," said Enzo Taranto, President of the Lifebility Association, "we have received more than 1,400 projects from over 2,200 participants. Many of these young innovators have successfully continued their journey, bringing their ideas to life."

The rules of the competition

Eligible participants are:

  • individuals aged 18 to 35, with Italian citizenship or residency;
  • project teams, as long as the main applicant is within the 18-35 age range.

In order to be selected, the submitted proposals should feature:

  • innovation and digitalization, including the use of artificial intelligence for social improvement;
  • community impact, particularly addressing the needs of vulnerable groups;
  • feasibility and sustainability, both economically and environmentally.

Once again this year, the Lifebility Award is offering several prizes in cash and services:

  • 4 winners will receive a €5,000 grant each to develop their projects.
  • 7 finalists will receive financial support of up to €2,500.
  • All finalists will participate in an educational trip to Brussels, exploring European Union’s funding opportunities.
  • Some finalists will receive one year of mentorship from entrepreneurs and industry experts.
