Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior System Engineering Manager to lead our technical team at our Bari, Italy location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in space systems and a proven track record of bringing space-qualified products to flight status. This role involves leading the technical effort, managing the engineering team, and overseeing the development of our innovative aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the system engineering team in the design, development, and deployment of aerospace products.
• Oversee the technical effort, ensuring project milestones are met efficiently and effectively.
• Direct the integration of solar technology into aerospace applications.
• Manage the product lifecycle from conception to space qualification and flight status.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture, mentoring team members for professional growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align technical objectives with business goals.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in system engineering.
• Proven experience in managing a technical team.
• Demonstrated success in bringing a product for space to flight status.
• Strong technical background in deployable structures (e.g., solar panels) or similar technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts.
• Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
